Parish Survey - Catholic Leadership Institute
The Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist will be participating in a parish survey about discipleship conducted by the Catholic Leadership Institute! We need your help.
Please help us by participating in a 10-15 minute survey online. The survey will be available from February 23 to March 23 and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and enable you to provide feedback on our parish’s efforts to help you grow. All responses will be confidential and the parish will only receive information about the community as whole.
Please use this online link for the survey: www.DiscipleMakerIndex.com. Please note that the link is active, but will not list the Archdiocese of Milwaukee as an option until the survey opens on February 23. The survey is available in English or in Spanish. Paper copies of the survey can also be completed in the back of the Cathedral if you would prefer.
We are trying to get the highest response rate possible. This information will be invaluable to Bishop Jeff and Father José and our various ministries as we plan for the future and strive to be the best disciples we can be. We will receive the results this spring/summer at which time we will share what we have learned with the entire parish. Another flocknote reminder about this survey will be sent on February 23.

Cathedral Parking Lot Reminders
Weekday Parking Reminder – the Cathedral parking lot is restricted on weekdays between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for parish staff parking and volunteers if space is available.
Weekend Parking Reminders - Most of our staff members do also need to use the Cathedral parking lot on the weekends. We have had instances where both Clergy and staff members haven’t been able to park in their spot on the weekends. Please keep those spaces open during weekend Masses.
There is also no parking in front of the small shed door, garbage dumpster or on the grate by the east end of the Cathedral.
All parking meters are free on Sundays. On Saturdays, there are some free meters with a two hour limit. Meter parking is also free with handicapped parking placard or permit.
The Cathedral has also negotiated a parking agreement with Northwestern Mutual allowing parishioners and guests to park during weekend Masses at no charge. The agreement is available for both the Saturday and Sunday Mass schedule. This does not include parking during weekday Masses. Lenten Fraternal Charity Giving
Catholic Relief Service’s Rice Bowl
Catholic Relief Service’s Rice Bowl is a Lenten faith-in-action program that invites us to reflect on the challenges of global hunger—and our responsibility to respond to the needs of our global human family. During this holy season, it is important to come together as a family and reflect on the cross of hunger and lack of proper nutrition, that so many of our brothers and sisters both near and far are forced to carry. Please consider these suggestions in your family’s Lenten plan:
- Use your CRS Rice Bowl and Lenten Calendar daily to guide your prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
- Read the Stories of Hope and daily reflections to inspire your Lenten journey—and guide your Lenten almsgiving.
- Prepare simple, meatless meals on the Fridays of Lent to eat in solidarity with our brothers and sisters around the world.
- Visit crsricebowl.org to watch videos of the people and communities you support through your Lenten gifts to CRS Rice Bowl.
Rice Bowls will be available to pick up in the Narthex on Sunday, February, 23rd after both Masses or contact Dan McCarthy at 414/788-0032.

Our entire operating budget comes from private sources: contributions from individual Cathedral parish members, visitors, local corporations, foundations and generous friends.
